A good person

It is simple to distinguish a good person from a bad one. A good person is like a tonic. A tonic tastes bitter. Generally, medications which are good for the body taste bitter. A good person isn’t liked very much at the first sight. Something bad for the body tastes sweet. This fact must be discerned.
A good person doesn’t have any special interest in things of another person, because he is busy leading his own life. When people tell him that they have trouble in their lives, he comes and does things which are helpful to them. For one good thing, a good person never gives people irresponsible words. For another, if people don’t ask for his help, he doesn’t try to help them. A wise person doesn’t say that this is good and that is bad. However, when someone says to people, “This is good, that is beneficial, or if you try this you can make a fortune,” they are strange. It is because what they say can be quite dangerous.
In your lives, it is really difficult to distinguish between words of a good person and those of a bad one.

Like the movie, The Matrix

Life is boring as well as mysterious. When I met a priest in Spain, I mentioned to him the movie, The Matrix. I told him that I had traveled to tell people the fact that they live in The Matrix.
People consider someone strange, weird, or great, when he/she says or does something different or new from what they say or do. In the meantime, they are not even interested in someone, when he/she talks about the truths of them and their lives and talks about better lives.
Whether to live with the understanding of the truth of the self, or without that of the truth of the self is the same thing as whether to know the existence of the matrix, or to live in the matrix without being aware of its existence. Moreover, like the character, 'Cypher', even though someone comes to know the truth, they want to go back to the time when they didn't know it. This is because truth is always bitter, hard, and painful.

The Two Worst Things: Grudge and Attachment

What causes the most terrible damage to us during our lives is ‘grudge and attachment’. Grudge is formed in us by being deceived by ourselves or other people, due to our ignorance about what is. Attachment comes into being in us, when we tie our mind to the things that cannot be achieved or to the objects, like family members, friends, etc., that we are specially connected with and that we have strong affection for. What we must be aware of is whether or not we have any grudge or attachment. If we possess the two things inside us, we will wander around in the darkness through birth and death.
I don’t give any inhospitable treatment to dead souls. However, they must be born again by escaping from their grudge and attachment. They can never be born again with their grudge and attachment in them. If they stay in this state of death, there will be no ways to meet improved selves
. It's only after they are born as living creatures that they will have the chance to make or find better selves.
If dead souls cannot get out of their grudge and attachment, they will lose their ‘good karma’ little by little during the period of the state. If they lose all their ‘good karma’, they won’t be able to be born with themselves. This means that if certain In-Yeons don't wash their grudge and attachment way, they can never be born again. Therefore, I always say, “Only the one who is aware of what is and who isn’t deceived by the self can attain the big help to achieve the perfect self through death and birth.

The Essence Of The Greatest Way, Do, 道, 도, Tao

The essence of the greatest 'Do' which the masters like Jesus or Buddha taught in the world is conscience and courage and they made efforts to deliver the two to people. Therefore, anyone with conscience and courage can attain everything. 1989. 4. 1.

INTRODUCTION V: The Definition Of A Word

We use a lot of words without knowing the exact definitions of them. This fact is true not only to general people, but also to such people as professors, scholars, religious people, politicians, etc. For example, philosophers are not aware of the definition of philosophy, religious people are not aware of that of religion, or politicians are not aware of that of politics.
In order to become better human beings, we have to know things of the world obviously and exactly. In order to know things of the world as they are, we have to know the precise and clear definitions of words.
When you meet those who utter lots of flowery words or beautifully plausible words, please don't forget to ask them, "What is the definition of the word that you've just said?"
Here in my blog, almost all the definitions of the words we are using will be presented.
Please doubt about them and try to identify them.

INTRODUCTION IV: The term, 'In-Yeon'

The term, 'In-Yeon' is one of the words which I haven't found the proper substitutes for in English and in Spanish.
A simple example can be helpful to your understanding the meaning easily. There are two people walking on the street. When their clothes get brushed with each other's, they say or think that there must have been something between two of them in the past that they don't know. The 'something' is called 'In-Yeon'.
More concretely,  'In-Yeons' can be particular relationships between people or things formed during the past lives. 'In-Yeons' can also be the specific causes of certain results which happened in the past.
The word, 'In-Yeon' will appear here and there in my blog frequently so you must have the obvious understanding of it. If you don't have sufficient understanding or if you have any inquiries, please let me know through comments here or through e-mails (

The Blind's Touching An Elephant

When people face the things that happen to them, they jugde and take measures for them, and carry out their measures on basis of their own traits. In general, those judgments and measures are formed in the way similar to that of ‘the blind’s touching an elephant’. According to the level of their ability to judge or according to that of their wisdom, the judgments and measures can be correct to a certain extent. Still, most of them are improper and can't be right. It is because they are the blind. The much worse problem, than the problem that they are blind, is that they are unaware of the fact that their judgments and measures can be incorrect and that they don’t even try to understand the fact.

The Blind With Eyesight

The great teachers of mankind have said that people are the blind with eyesight. This doesn’t mean that people lost their eyesight and that they are unable to see physical things in the world. This means that they can’t see the principles which exist inside things of the world. In other words, they can’t see how things of the world occur and what the results of those things will be like.

What do we have to do in order to see 'what is'?

You have to learn how 'what is' comes into being, by continuing to watch and to look into 'what is'. If you come to this place, if you listen to, understand, and continue to accumulate 'what is' in yourself, in other words, in your mind, and finally if you can improve the ability to watch and to look into 'what is', you will become to see 'what is' little by little. And if you see what is, you come to understand what creates good things and what causes bad things.

INTRODUC|TION III: How To Read, How To Learn, And How To Understand

This blog is not for showing beautifully plausible expressions to people, but for helping people to improve themselves in actual and practical ways.
Therefore, when you read every single writing, you have to try to get the full understanding of it. In other words, firstly, you have to doubt about the meaning by reading it many times. Secondly, you have to verify your doubts, by practicing it in your real life. Finally, when you cannot make your doubts solved obviously or when you meet results which are different from your expectations, please let me know them. You can put your tags on the very article or you can e-mail me to ''.

INTRODUCTION II: According To Labels

There are two kinds of labels here in my blog. They are 'Tathagata' and 'Bugun'. As you can guess, Articles with the label of 'Tathagata' were given by Tathagata himself and articles with 'Bugun' are given by Bugun, myself.
I´d say that in the future different or additional labels will get introduced.

INTRODUCTION I: The Term, ´What is'

In general, the term, 'what is' is seldom used verbally and in letters. However, you will meet this term very frequently here in my blog and so I think I have to make the meaning of 'what is' understood obviously.
Even though I said I had to explain about the meaning clearly above, most of the readers must be aware of the meaning. When we call or express a thing verbally or in letters, we have some different words for it. For example, we have the terms such as a friend, a companion, a buddy, a pal, a mate, etc. 'What is' is something that actually is or exists, and so it can also be expressed as a thing which exists, things which exist, a fact or a truth that exists, facts or truths which exist, what happened, what has happened, etc.
If there is anybody that doesn't have the clear understanding of it, e-mail me here, or

Hypocrisy is falsehood that seems to make sense but doesn’t have facts in it.

Begging 2

Do you feel every single second of life ticking and passing?
Are you conscious of every single word you utter and every single action in your conduct?
Can you identify the causes and effects of your every single word or act?
Your every single word or act at every single second has specific, practical, and clear causes and effects.
The life which you only spend fulfilling your five desires is meaningless, empty, and full of pains and anguish.
All of the pains and anguish are due to insufficient understandings of what is in life.
Things of the world are not achieved by your useless expectations, your fanciful desires, and your empty prayers.
There are obvious and concrete ways to make things of the world come into being.
The problem is whether or not you can find the ways, understand them, and turn them into actions.
Here is the teaching that makes it possible to solve the problem.
A man of courage: verify it.

A Talk With A Philosopher

I majored in Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea. At my junior year, I dropped by the office of a professor in the department of Philosophy. I knocked on his door because he was in his office and the others weren't. He let me in and I asked him, "What is Philosophy?"
He replied, "Your question is too extensive to answer."
"In general, such a way of answering is adopted by those who don't have the obvious understanding of a thing, isn't it?" I said.
At that moment, I had to leave his office, for someone visited him.
A few days later, I visited him again and asked the same question.
This time, his answer was different from the previous one, "What kinds of philosophy do you want to ask? Socrates' or Kant's?"
The answer made me ask, "Sir, in Math, have we got different answers in between Western and Eastern world? I don't want to listen to Socrates' or Kant's views or thoughts on Philosophy. I just want to ask you what Philosophy itself is."
He said nothing for several minutes. And then he asked me the same question that I had asked him.
"Then what do you think philosophy is?"
I told him the answer that I know.
He said that it was correct.
I was surprised to hear that. So I asked, "Sir, what are you teaching, then?"
He got so angry at the question. I was expelled.

Buddha was asked, “What is the biggest charity?” He answered, “It is to serve Truth for people.”
The practice of teaching what is to people and awakening them is the biggest thing to build up virtue in the human world.
What does the term, charity or virtue, mean? It means a behavior that blesses people. In other words, it is an act of building up virtue which becomes a blessing for other people.
By the way, the very service of Truth becomes to bless people best and to awaken them most. That is why the service of Truth is the greatest charity.

Begging 1

My past made my present come into being, and my present will make my future.
Our lives are a short period of time, which we spend chasing after the relish of the flesh, fulfilling the five desires, and heading for the death.
Stop for a while and look into yourself.
The truest masters of mankind felt sorry for our ignorance and taught the way to escape from that ignorance.
Isn’t there anybody that has the willpower to overcome their ignorance and that hopes to see a better future for themselves through the way of the truth?
It is nearly impossible for you to get out of the way you’re walking along. However, if you can see that your way is not a blessing to other people as well as yourself, why don’t you search for the proper way?
There is the way that you can create the righteous present, identifying it with your ears, eyes and reason.
